Cherry Wood ... Talking about George Washington chopping down the Cherry tree to make dentures, we have Cherry wood to make duck calls. Cherry wood comes from any numerous trees and shrubs the genus, Prunus, of the rose family. It's a hard wood, used to make furniture and duck calls.

My wood comes from the Jim Floyd Farm, across the Cyprus Break, west of the Union Community in Woodruff County . This call produces a nice, crisp sound and was also one of the choice woods used by early call makers.
